Angels

In Ortiz's first collection, her signature duality was realised in an arresting visual contrast. Abstractions of an angel's wings in rose gold enriched with diamonds represent purity; blackened gold with black diamonds represent the soul's darker side. Sensuous, elongated lines flow like the strokes of a calligrapher's pen, signalling Ortiz's understanding of a woman's body and how it moves.
